using charity to help children online

Tuesday, January 31st, 2006

Almost since time began, all over the world, there has been a need to help children. In past times, the only way to give charity to children was through medians such as checks or cash donations. However, with the invention of the Internet, there are now more ways to help and protect children. The Internet can be a powerful tool in the aide of children’s welfare. Children are generally overlooked for the most part. There really are very few people to speak up for them and their rights. In actuality, children have very little rights. For many years, children’s advocacy centers and child protective services were some of the only organizations that even tried to help children get any kind of rights or fair treatment. Of course, there are also charity programs that exist to help and support children. But sometimes those organizations are hard to find. Also, there have been organizations in the past that said they were going to use donation money for needy children, but instead, they used the money for wealthy gain. Shady organizations, like these, make people wary of donating money. Even if it is to a genuine organization that really is trying to make better lives for underprivileged children. This is a sad state of things because many children need all the help they can get. With the invention of the Internet, charity is easier than ever to provide. Many organizations that were obscured before can now be easily found on the Internet. This makes it even easier to help children. Additionally, there are many sites on the Internet that can uncover any scam charities that may be out there, and point a donator to an organization that really will helping children. There are many other services on the Internet that are also good sites to help children other than charity sites. These sites do things such as: try and eliminate child pornography, keep child abuse at bay, and keep children that are using the Internet away from child predators. These sites help make the world a better place for children to live in. For many of these children’s charities and welfare sites, donations can be made through the Internet with either a credit card or PayPal account. These options make it even easier to donate to aide needy children around the world. It is nice to know that if someone wishes to help a child, all they have to do is look on the Internet for an appropriate median to use for their donation. This makes it much easier for children to get the help and funding that they need to survive. The invention of the Internet brought many new ways of doing things. Charity is one of those things, as the Internet makes it easier than ever to give to a good cause. It is always good to help children whenever it is possible, and the Internet makes it a breeze. Helping children through the Internet is a great way to make the world a little better.

how to increase web traffic using article marketing

Sunday, January 29th, 2006

For every website owner, it can be fairly said that they wish to generate massive amounts of traffic, to increase their web traffic to their site, or sites. I am going to go one step further, and point out that they need targeted traffic, with visitors who want to see, or get what they have got. This may, on the surface, seem obvious, but I have found that many people, with the very best intentions, have tended to miss this important point, and have unwittingly treated their traffic generation efforts like a hit and miss affair. In my experience, this can be both expensive, time consuming and disheartening. The good news is that I am to put that right in the next few paragraphs. There are some internet marketers, or website masters who would prefer you to think that traffic generation is a complex art, that takes years and years to master, and that you should pay someone else to do it for you. Whilst that certainly is an option for some people, a fundamental understanding can be sufficient to help you on your way to creating the results you desire for your site. I am not going to suggest I can explain the full process in one article, but I have found that by practicing a few specific techniques, or traffic methods at a time, is a good way to start. Once I have perfected, or at least, become more efficient with a given method, I then move onto implementing another, setting it up right, and so on. It is correct that this takes time, and in the long run, it is shorter than flitting from one method to another, never fully implementing one properly, and then being even more disappointed with the result. I am speaking from very well earned experience, and heartache, where I have tried so many methods, all at the same time, and naturally never completed any properly, as they take time to implement. A good example to illustrate this point is article marketing. It has been proven by enough people, that have stuck at it, that it does work, but it does requires time, and consistency, amongst the ability to write in a compelling way, to keep your reader interested. However, just writing one or two articles is not likely to achieve the result you want, unless you are very lucky. I prefer to recommend the regular, article writing strategy, where you write a few articles every week, and submit them to your chosen directories on a regular basis. This way, you will keep your name appearing in fresh articles regularly, as well as providing new information for the search engines to crawl, and a regular following of readers to boot. Yes, it is hard work, and effort, but anything worthwhile is. Any one who says you can get free traffic, with no effort is most likely uninformed, at best, or simply lying. However, as I have said earlier, whilst I practice the article marketing technique, there is more to it than just writing, as you want to motivate your reader to act on your article information. This is where a suitable biography box is important, and this will generally motivate your reader to click through to your website to find out more. It does take effort, but consistency and high quality information do pay off, on a regular basis. This is one method that I highly recommend, as well as other methods as well, but if you are starting out, use this proven technique, that effectively costs nothing, other than your time. As an added bonus, your practice at writing will improve, and so too, will the quality of your articles, and writing skill. Have you been wanting to learn more about refining your traffic generation techniques? It is all about focus, and skills that can be learned. To Learn more about increased web traffic, and developing a stream of targeted visitors to your site, click through on the above link. The effort you put in now will pay massive dividends in the future.

deep space voices

Saturday, January 28th, 2006

In the U.S space program there are some incredible stories that haunt the halls of NASA. This is the strangest one. Some astronauts have, only after retirement, spoken out about their experiences in space. There are those that have claimed to have seen strange self moving lights and even other unexplained space craft in the vicinity of their own. Of coarse the Psychiatrists at the space program have debriefed and rationalized every piece of space information and have sanitized it for public consumption. Disinformation in this subject is so prevalent that no one can weed out the truth from fiction. There have been complaints from some of the astronauts that seem to have far reaching psychological effects. Insomnia being at the top of the list also memory lapses, hallucinations, even eating disorders. The litany of complaints goes on and on. Recent rumors have been floating around about human Deep Space missions that were never publicized. These secret missions into deep space have been going on since the early days of the space race. Those few that have managed to make it back to Earth in one piece have one thing in common, Deep Space Psychosis. Deep Space Psychosis is unique, in that it induces what I have termed (Deep Space Voices). This phenomenon is only found in certain regions of deep space, so it is unlikely we need to worry about dealing with it. These voices in the astronauts’ heads are continual and never ending. The doctors have tried everything they can think of to treat it, but to no avail. Some seem to be able to cope with it to a manageable degree on their own personal level. Most go slowly insane, as their brains actually begin to cannibalize themselves and they eventually get relief in death. This is where you get to vote if the story is true, untrue or part true and untrue? You be the judge! I would be most interested in your answer. ©Lee E. One way to utilize other people’s subscriber base without paying for it used to write articles for their newsletters. If you work at this, over a period of time you can develop your own list of ezine publishers that you can personally write for and drive traffic to your Internet business. 3. One final way to utilize articles to market your Internet business is to trade content with other webmasters. This is a unique form of training links without actually doing it in a reciprocal linking directory. You can write blog content for them and trade by putting their articles in your blog, or you can create unique web pages and trade articles that way. crossing the boundaries science fiction fantasy and horror

Sunday, January 22nd, 2006

Horror has long gone hand in hand with fantasy and science fiction. Many classic horror stories are also fantasy or science fiction stories, and fantasy and science fiction stories often have elements of horror in them. Where would Lord of the Rings have been without the Nazghul, undead kings dominated by the power of the rings? Where would Alien have been without the alien? Dracula and Frankenstein are both considered horror fiction, but Dracula is also fantasy and Frankenstein clearly has early science fiction elements. So, what are the differences between horror and general science fiction/fantasy? Here are a few general guidelines to help distinguish the genres. In general fantasy and science fiction, the main characters have abilities that are a match for the antagonists. In horror, that is often not the case. Frodo had Sting and his elven mail to protect him. In Star Trek the crew members of the Enterprise have their wits, their training and their equipment to deal with their enemies. In a Zombie apocalypse, the main characters typically have little or nothing to protect them except what they find lying around. In general fantasy and science fiction, the heroes typically have someone that knows what is going on and can explain what they will face. In horror this is seldom the case. Obi Wan Kenobi, Gandalf, Dumbledore or some higher up in Star Fleet command or some member of the ship’s crew can usually give the lead characters at least some idea who they are up against and how to beat them. In horror, if there is someone that actually knows what is going on, they are probably in an asylum or some other inconvenient location, and their warnings may not make sense until after someone has been eaten. In addition, wise old mentors in horror have a disturbing habit of being wrong on very important issues. In a horror story, the protagonists are often responsible for their own survival and victory. In general fantasy and science fiction most if not all the main characters come through all right in the end. In horror, the winners may well come away scarred for life. That’s assuming any of them actually survive. How many lead characters were dead at the end of Lord of the Rings? How many of the crew that don’t wear red shirts are killed in the average Star Trek episode? Sure there are exceptions to this, but in many cases even if a lead dies, they get brought back through some miracle of science or magic. Don’t count on this in horror. In a good horror story everyone is expendable. Even if there are survivors, they may still not be in good shape at the end. Many of Lovecraft’s protagonists found themselves long term residents of mental institutions by the end of his stories. They were often considered the luckier ones. In general fantasy and science fiction, the heroes have a chance to stop the villains. In horror this may well not be the case. Fantasy and science fiction give a wide variety of means to combat a hopeless situation or otherwise impossible odds. In horror, if the ultimate evil actually makes an appearance it’s questionable whether it can be stopped at all. Frequently the key is dealing with the frail humans that are its allies before they can bring it all the way into our world. If the heroes mess that up, it’s all over. At the very least, putting an end to the ultimate evil may require the sacrifice of everyone’s lives or sanity or something equally valuable. The world wins, but the heroes lose. So, if you are interested in adding a bit of horror to your fantasy or science fiction story, look at these guidelines and apply some of the horror end of them to the plot. Adding fantasy or science fiction to a horror story is generally as simple as making the thing that is stalking the protagonists some unearthly horror be it an alien from beyond or a demon from beyond. Give some genre blending a try and you’ll add variety and some suspense to your stories and perhaps make them a bit more exciting. Colin Neilson is a teacher, author and publisher. coming up with new ideas for article writing

Sunday, January 22nd, 2006

When you promote your online business using article marketing, quantity can be almost as important as quality. The problem with this is that it can be very difficult to come up with new ideas to write about. Here are a couple of methods you can try to help you come up with fresh ideas for your next article. One easy technique is to read other articles and get inspired with ideas you never would have thought of on your own. There are hundreds of article directories on the internet with articles on every subject you can imagine. Of course, you should never steal other people’s work, but reading someone else’s approach on a subject can give you new ideas on a topic you have written about before. Another technique is to find keywords related to your niche and make titles out of them. Then try to write an article based on that title. Visit the most popular sites in your niche and see what they do. People visit popular sites for a reason, these web sites give the visitors the information they are looking for. If you know what people want, you can write articles about it and become popular too. Your local library is a great place to find new ideas. You can study and improve the knowledge about your subject by reading books. There is a huge amount of free information just waiting for you. Another good place to find new ideas is newspapers. Reading newspapers regularly will help you come up with new things to write about before everyone else. This is also true for magazines. If a magazine about a certain subject is popular and has a lot of readers, tap into that interest with your own articles. There are many good newsletters about different subjects. Subscribe to a couple and have new ideas e-mailed to you. If you find one with well written articles you can learn and use this information when writing your own. Actually, you can find new ideas in almost anything you encounter, for example television and radio shows. Always keep a notebook handy so that you can write down any new idea that you might think of in your daily life. Good ideas are all around you, you just have to recognize them when you see them. a polished approach hire a professional article writer

Sunday, January 22nd, 2006

Can you write well? Do you have the flair for writing in you? It’s often believed that writing is an inborn talent; people write as a pastime, a career or just for money. If you are one of them, think over whether you’ve ever been caught in a conflict of words. Efficiency of writing is determined by its quality- that appeals to its readers. Writing for pure pleasure is different from writing for a purpose. This is where an audience steps in; and so does the need to hire a professional article writer. Professional Content And Clarity Maybe you do know what you want to express, but what about the mode of expression? Do you know the difference between a factual and a promotional article? Do you know that both will use entirely different grammar and style? A professional writer is used to writing with some aim in mind and knows well how to make the write up sound exactly as is expected by the readers. Often you must have found yourself at a loss for words. Don’t know what exactly that phrase is? Beware, as it may make your copy sound as if you are losing out on the content. Development of ideas on paper is a tough task which needs a practiced hand for better execution. Content clarity is what ensures efficient writing that only comes with professionalism. Training Always Helps Of course, there’s a difference between a trained and an untrained (read amateur) writer. It’s important to recognise and appreciate the difference. A trained professional writer will always have his own set of knick knacks to make the article perfect for the intended audience. His work will include background research and his experience will help avoid material that’s disliked by the readers. Write ups that abound with clichés make for a boring read. The purpose of the article is marred if it is lost upon its audience. ‘It’s advised to buy this product’ and ‘Hurry up! Grab the offer now!’ can make a world’s difference to setting the tone of the article. Other Nuances Time is the biggest constraint that each one of us faces. If you are already under stress about meeting deadlines, rushing from one job to another; then it’s high time you hire a professional. Give him a date and sit back, relax. What for you would be a first attempt at writing is well practised by a professional writer. Handing over the job to him ensures a polished and improvised look for your article. A copy full of typos, missing information and grammatical errors is a big no-no as far as the readers’ viewpoint is considered. A professional writer not only writes for you but also doubles up as a proof reader and copy editor. Sometimes, an article has everything - content, perfect grammar, relevant material; yet lacks acceptability. Perhaps the only thing that it lacks is a little tweak here and there, rephrasing can work wonders in a write up. A good experienced professional article writer can give you that extra edge over the others. Enjoy the benefits of an increased audience with an expert twitching of your material that suits them fine. Hire a professional! If you don’t have time write and submit articles to boost your online presence by article marketing, you can hire a professional article marketing company to do such tasks for you. We also take orders for custom content creation,Squidoo lens writing, social bookmarking and directory submissions.

save on poster printing costs for a bed and breakfast

Sunday, January 22nd, 2006

Posters are a great way of getting people’s attention. They can be put in more prominent places compared to flyers, which can easily be thrown away. A good poster design can easily attract the attention of many people over a longer period than flyers. Here are some tips to help you save on poster printing costs for your bed and breakfast. 1. Location. Where do you intend to put up your poster? This will depend on your target market. Knowing your target market, determine the best places where you can catch their attention. Select the places where you can post for free or at a minimal cost. For a bed and breakfast, find travel agencies who are willing to put up your posters in their offices where potential clients may see them. If your bed and breakfast is geared to youngsters, you may seek permission to post in schools. 2. Size. The bigger the poster, the greater the cost. To save, choose a size that will be enough to make your message visible to the people you want reading it. 3. Quality. Choose the ink and colors you want used on your poster depending on how long you intend to use it and where it will be located. Since we can expect most of your posters to be put up inside, away from exposure to the sun and elements, you may save by choosing 4. Quantity. It is always cheaper to buy in larger quantities. Go for the wholesale poster printing prices. If you think the minimum wholesale quantity is too much for you, think of other places you can put your poster up. Who else may want to avail of your new promo? Who else may be interested in your bed and breakfast? Be creative! Just don’t overdo it. Don’t have too much copies printed that you may not use. You may end up spending more than saving on the wholesale price. 5. Design. Most online poster printing companies offer assistance in designing your poster. You can also find templates online to use as inspiration for your poster design. Make use of the internet. There are so many great poster ideas out there without having to pay for a professional designer. Make use of the tips above and save on your bed and breakfast posters!
