the great tamil poet subramanya bharathiar

Sunday, July 30th, 2006

‘Bharathiyar’ is the name that reminds Indians of nationalism, patriotism and Tamil prose and poetry. Born in 1882 he was conferred the title of ‘Bharati’ for his poetic talent at a tender age. Bharati emerged as a prolific poet earning the name of ‘Mahakavi’, meaning a Great Poet. He died at the age of 39 but in his short span of life he had made immeasurable contribution to his country and language. Life of a patriot He lived in the eventful years of our country’s freedom struggle. He had met his contemporaries who influenced his political thinking like Mahatma Gandhi, Tilak, Sister Nivedita, Aurobindo Gosh, VVS Iyer and Lajpat Roy. The Tamil poet and writer’s life itself is a shining example of upholding the spirit of freedom, equality, justice and love despite poverty and against the oppressive British rule. He was the assistant editor of ‘Swadesamithran’ a Tamil daily from 1904 to 1907. He launched ‘India’ the Tamil weekly of which he was the editor and later edited a newspaper ‘Bala Bharatam’ in English. He had a turbulent life laced with living in exile, arrest, being jailed amidst abject poverty. He resumed as editor of Swadesamithran a year before his death in 1921. Social reformist His lofty dreams about our society and the country came out brilliantly in his songs and prose. He had the uncanny ability of using his literary skills to the best to kindle the patriotic feelings of the masses and about the evils of the society which caused all their problems. Patriot He proudly proclaims that the there is no other country in the world can equal the greatness of India which has the Himalyan mountains, the sacred river Ganges and the Upanishads in his song “Mannum Imaya malai’ and ‘paarukkule nalla naadu’. He is equally proud about the Richness and sweetness of the Tamil language in his lines ‘yamarindha mozhiugalile’. He proclaims with equal pride the richness and uniqueness of the Tamil language. Advocating Freedom and Casteless society He fearlessly wrote about freedom for individuals as wells as nations being influenced by ‘Vande Mataram’ the patriotic song by Bankim Chandra. These meetings have injected fearlessness into his writing. Considering this to be a divine inspiration he went on to write revolutionary compositions that were packed with national unity and the spirit of freedom His songs brought a spiritual dimension to the freedom movement. ‘Swathesa Geethangal’ and ‘Janma Bhoomi’ which he dedicated to sister Nivedita are examples of his patriotic songs and serving the underprivileged and emancipation of women. They were distributed to the people during the freedom movement of India. His dreams of a free India and a society that is educated, devoid of its social evils and living in harmony. We can see that many of his dreams have come true today. His writings when he was in exile in Puduchery were so powerful that the British even jailed him. His songs for the children in ‘Paappa Paattu’ and ‘Pudhiya Aathichoodi’ evoked a sense of equality, love towards all living beings, casteless society and courage etc. His simple words convey the ethical and moral principles to the young minds effortlessly. His unique style was simple with a technique of weaving the spoken language and rhythm into beautiful prose and poetry. The literary genius Bharati has made an indelible mark in the minds of crores of Tamil people through his writings that included novels, short stories, essays and poetry. start a writing careerearn up to 1000 a day

Writing articles is probably one of the best ways to make money online. Besides the fact that you don’t have to be bothered with scam affiliate programs or high investment business opportunities that usually don’t turn a profit or any real revenue. The online writing industry is so huge, people who have found themselves unemployed are now earning a full time income from home with little or no training. Here is how to make a full time income writing articles from home and methods/techniques to marketing yourself to webmasters and publishers: Market Yourself Hard- If you want to make over $1000 a day or more writing articles, and then you have to market yourself. There are multiple ways to go about doing this, however there are few ways that are more popular and can get you the best results in the least amount of time. • Free Classified Ad- Most Internet Marketers will agree that free classified ads are not the best way to get traffic and should not be the sole method to gaining traffic; however, the traffic can become quite intense when you write multiple ads in bulk. Classified ads are best used when you are advertising a service instead of pre-written articles • Forums- This is one of the most popular ways to gain attention for your writing services. With forums, pre-written articles usually sell better. Most webmasters will pay for niche articles that are focused around a particular topic. PLR or Private Label Rights fast really fast because the buyer can get full rights and resell them if they wish. Most webmasters will submit them to the top article directories for traffic to their own products or services. • Cold Calling- Most writers (especially rookies) would cringe at this method. For one, most people are not comfortable with calling people for services because then they would be considered a telemarketer. However, if you are really into making the most bucks, this could work in your favor. There are many local businesses in your area that need the assistance of freelance writers (newspapers, magazines, community newsletters, insurance companies, etc). If you could secure 1 client per day, more than likely, if you do a good job, you can make more money. Making 100 calls per day can result in 1 client. • Email Marketing- The key to succeeding with email marketing is to find potential clients that would already be interested in freelance writing services. You can find them in forums or anyone who may have a website. Online magazines are also a good option for finding clients. The key to making clients respond by email is to make your message very personal. Don’t make the message sound to gimmicky or like a sales pitch. Just tell them your name and that you do freelance writing and you would like to offer them a discount or a good deal on your writing. Popular Writing That Sells Fast- When you are in the online writing industry, any type of writing can sell very well, especially if it is well written and unique content. You can make more sales by selling certain type of content such as: • SEO Articles- SEO articles are optimized with low competition keywords. Webmasters love this type of content because they can get the most traffic for them from the search engines. If done properly, one SEO article can get you up to 100 views. The more views an article gets, the more sales the webmaster or publisher makes. This is why SEO articles can sell very well and like hot cakes. A good SEO article can easily sell for $20 or more. • PLR Articles- Webmasters love private label articles because they can buy them in packs at a dirt cheap price. If they are freshly written and not sold to too many buyers, webmasters can use the articles for multiple reasons and gain traffic to their landing page or website. They can also claim themselves as the original author and/or writer making it easy to publish in article directories. Most PLR articles can sell for $1 per article. The buyer can also benefit from selling PLR articles because they can sell them over and over again. If the articles are freshly written, they can sell for $4 an article. • Pre-Written Original Articles- These is harder to sell, despite them being original and unique content. Many reasons for this are because webmasters are demanding SEO articles and promotional content in order to promote products and services. Original articles are still important, but the market is small because most publishers and webmasters that seek regular original content are looking for a certain article with certain criteria and guidelines. However, there is still a visible market and is expanding everyday. Original articles do well being sold at content marketplaces like Dailyarticle.com and Constant-Content. • Promotional Articles- Most webmasters look for SEO and promotional articles as one package deal; however they are not the same thing. Promotional articles basically are about a certain product, website or service. Promotional articles are popular because they are guaranteed to increase conversion rates for Internet marketers and promote sales. Promotional articles can be sold at forums, content marketplaces and are in demand just as much as SEO articles are. As you can see, there are many ways to earn money on the Internet as a writer. When you are stepping into the online writing industry, things can seem quite hazy and very unaspiring with all of the low paying sites ($2-$5 per article writing gigs). Despite this fact, people can make a lot of money writing articles online. The best part if that you don’t have to invest any money to get started and you can do something that you already like to do and get paid for it at the same time. There are multiple writing sites on the web that can help you get a start in online writing (it is not recommended to stay writing for these sites for very long, but should only be used to increase your writing skills); Associated Content, Demand Studios and Ehow. sales letter increase business

Remember that fantastic movie you saw the other week and how you told all your friends about it, and you said they’d be mad to miss watching it? Well that is selling by using stories in a nut-shell, and we all do it, we all have it inside ourselves! Everybody loves to listen to a high-quality story but not many people tell stories in their sales letters and that’s a shame since story telling is a sure-fire way of capturing a person’s notice. Selling and story telling are skills that we all possess but very few of us capitalize upon… Think about your life and the things you’ve done and you’ll be able to come up with hundreds of stories, For more details visit to .sale-trigger-generator.com all you’ve got to do now is package one and include it next time you write. Start off with something like “I can remember the day I… “And instantly your listener will give you their full attention, wanting to hear more. Here’s an example of some selling that everybody does at some time or another, without even thinking: What is more difficult; however is to take that natural skill and transfer it to our product? In other words to actually take those words and put them down on paper or in the case of online selling, onto that ‘magic’ little screen that allows us to talk to millions of other people around the world. We often come up with a total blank when we try to put our thoughts down and write copy to sell our product. When this happens we should revisit the wisdom of our ancestors, go back to the days before we all had computers and further still, for more details visit to .10steps-to-killer-web-copy.com the times before books or even paper were thought about. Go on think back… Are you there yet? Well, how did our ancestors pass on their messages and the folk lore of their times? They used stories. They told stories that captivated their listener’s attention and kept them where they were, listening in enraptured silence to the lore of ancients. Motivational Speakers Use Them Too Think about all the great motivational speakers, how do they capture their audience’s attention? They use stories of course. They paint a picture with words so powerfully that it allows their audience to SEE exactly what they are talking about! I remember watching the great Jim Rohm in action a few years ago. He was telling a story of how, as a youngster, the bank wanted to repossess his car because he was having difficulty meeting the monthly payments. He went on to tell how, on the day the tow truck came to take his car back, he stormed into the bank with a bag full of one cent pieces and slammed it on the desk right in front of the manager. How he told the manager to count out the money, every last cent that was owed, and the great satisfaction he had as he sat there for over an hour and watched the manager do just that, clear his debt and call back his hounds! reviewoperation save the innocent

Tuesday, July 25th, 2006

Operation Save the Innocent, Tony Ruggiero, 2008, ISBN 1896944604 Part two of a series, this book is about the use of vampires as present-day US Government assassins. In part one, John Reese ran a very high-level military program called Team of Darkness, a team of three vampires ordered to kill selected targets. Led by a vampire called Dmitri, they had little choice in the matter. Around each of their necks was a permanent metal collar filled with a serum, that, at the touch of a button, would be injected into them, and kill them slowly and painfully. At the end of the book, Reese freed the three, telling his superiors that he killed them. In this story, a megalomaniac officer named General Stone secretly obstructed Reese’s efforts to abolish the program. He has also secretly secured two young girls, a 13-year-old and her 8-year-old sister, to be his own personal assassins, with similar collars. They were turned into vampires through a Balkan (southeast Europe) equivalent of the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s feud. General Stone is found dead, murdered by Christina, another vampire, who could be said to have started all of this. She was found in a cave in the Balkans near the end of World War II, and was convinced to come to America. Dmitri and his two colleagues find out about the two sisters, and break them out of a very secure military prison, the same one in which they were held. Reese, supposedly retired from the military, is forcibly recalled to active duty (by an ultra-secret agency called The Agency) with the task of finding them. The alternative is to spend the rest of his life in military prison. He also starts a “relationship” with Christina, and is unaware of her story. This novel does a fine job of combining a vampire story with a political thriller. I am not much of a vampire novel lover, but I am very interested in reading future novels in this series. history essay writing

Monday, July 24th, 2006

History essay writing will deal with different events of history and its importance and significance in the modern time. The existence of human is from prehistoric era when human beings were barely better than other animals. At that time they don’t even know the techniques of using fire or the process of communicating their thoughts to others. Then gradually they become civilized and invent the language to communicate their thoughts. These written documents are very important for the historians to understand the different historical civilizations. Still now we haven’t deciphered every language of the lost civilizations but we have gathered good amount of knowledge about those civilizations. Some of the great events of medieval and modern histories are as follows: 1) Magna Carta- The barons, the clergy and the people combined to compel the King of England, John II to redress their grievances by signing the great charter in 1215. It contained 63 clauses guaranteeing the freedom of barons, the church and the people. The charter was intended to put a check upon the arbitrary powers of the king by securing the rights of all orders and classes. It laid down the important principle that Englishmen should be governed by definite laws and not by whims or uncontrolled will of a despotic ruler. Magna Carta is said to be the foundation stone of the rights and liberties of the English people. 2) Black Death- The Black Death, an infection of bubonic plague, struck Europe in 1347. The disease was spread by the fleas that lived on rats. The fleas got transferred to humans when the rats died. By 1351, the disease which affected rich and poor alike had spread over the most of Europe. The plague killed about one third of the total European population. 3) French Revolution- France was a powerful state in the 18th century. However, internally there were problems. A small section of people owned most of the land and occupied all senior administrative and army positions. There were a large number of peasants who lived under miserable conditions. In between was the middle class, which was educated and sometimes rich, yet didn’t have social status or political rights. There were a large number of thinkers in France who advocate rationalism, democracy and attacked clergy. More over, the wars abroad and large patronage brought the king to the point of bankruptcy. A stand off between the royal forces and protestors led to the fall of Bastille prison on July 14, 1789. A new constitution was adopted declaring equality, fraternity and fraternity for everyone. The privileged class people fled to other countries to seek their help and France was involved in wars with its neighboring countries. How ever, a new order had been established in France and it reached new heights under the leadership of Napoleon Bonaparte. 4) The Slave Trade- The practice of slavery, the buying and selling of people against their will. Goes back to the ancient times. Slaves had no rights or freedoms and were owned entirely by their masters. Selling African people as slaves was begun on a large scale by Arabs about 1000 years ago. However mass demand for slaves arose when Europeans needed workers for plantation in America. The slavery continued till about 150 years ago. Handwriting analysis can often be useful in detecting malfunctions in the body. If the handwriting in Figure 1 were superimposed on the stick Figure in the above diagram, we would see that the top part of the upper-zone letters would correspond to the head. There are tremu¬lous strokes and even a little gap in one of the letters-all in the same area, the left side of the top of the upper-zone letter. We can easily see why this writer should complain of headaches… Handwriting analysis can often be useful in detecting malfunctions in the body, for there are telltale signs in the ailing person’s writing. We know today that although the conscious mind of an individual may not be aware of any particular disorder, on the subconscious level the brain keeps a record of all that takes place in the body. Just as it dictates the personality, so it reacts to the disorder, for it is always aware when something is amiss. If the disorder is repaired, it is interesting to note how the signs disappear from the writing as well. But handwriting signs of physical disorder are not so consistent as those for personality traits. Diagnosing illness through handwriting is still in its infancy. If, for example, a man’s left foot is amputated, a gap or blotch may appear in the left side of the lower zone-but only now and then. A normal man would probably not leave gaps there at all, or not with statistically significant frequency. It is this frequency-not a 100-percent consistency-which the graphologist looks for. Picture handwriting superimposed upon a stick figure. The top part of the upper-zone letters would correspond to the head. If there are tremulous strokes and even a little gap in one of the letters-all in the same area, the left side of the top of the upper-zone letters, we can easily see why this writer should complain of headaches, particularly on the left side. Imagine gaps in the right side of the upper portion of the upper-zone letters. This represents the head area, but the gap itself is not located at the top of the letters, but is a bit lower down and here represents the eyes. This writer may have lost the sight in his right eye. Consider gaps in the center of the middle zone, which reflects the area of the stomach and crotch. This type of writing is frequently found among women after sustaining a hysterectomy. Picture middle-zone gaps in the connecting strokes and in the beginning strokes, (these gaps can occur in the end strokes and have a similar interpretation). This area represents the arms and hands. Writers, whose hands were injured, due to accidents, commonly write this way. When most of the defects appear in the upper left portion of the upper zone, this may be due to a stroke, which affected the left side of his body. If someone, apparently in the best of health, were to hand you a handwriting sample, you might be a bit reluctant to say that there was something wrong with him. The graphologist should never be misled by any outside information whatsoever. Besides certain basic information (age, sex, country of origin), he should get all his information from the writing itself. He should not even rely on his own impression; this is not the job of the graphologist. The inexperienced analyst may hear that the subject whom he is analyzing is of a certain type. If he does not uncover this in the writing, he should not make this part of his analysis. Many times, people make untrue statements in order to deceive the graphologist and because they are skeptical. The experienced graphologist prefers that you not tell him anything (except for the above-mentioned basic information), for he does not want his judgment influenced. The writer suffered a severe accident when still a child and part of his left ear was severed. This was indicated by the contrast in his writing. The upper left part of the upper zone was considerably lighter than the rest of the writing. Wherever there is a nick or a space or part of the writing in different pressure from the rest, it is a sign from the brain that something in that particular area is different. This particular defect was not noticeable in the writer’s appearance, for his hair was covering it. But his handwriting gave it away. Imagine there are quite a number of lighter strokes in the middle zone, compared to the rest of the writing. This is often a sign of anemia or low blood pressure-as if the person did not have enough strength to write the word with the proper amount of pressure. Consider disturbances in the upper right part of the upper zone (reflecting the head) and in two instances a thickening and in one a gap. This person may have lost the hearing in his right ear. Why exactly there should be a thickening and a lightening cannot be determined, only that the brain notes a disturbance of some kind. Picture heavy pressure in the left lower part of the lower zones (reflecting the feet). This person may suffer from corns on the left foot. Imagine markedly less pressure (almost blank spaces) in the left side of the lower zone. This writer may have been in a fire and still has the scar. Consider both the left side and the right side of the lower zone, which show empty spaces, areas that correspond with the feet. This writer’s feet may be deformed. Picture a writing disturbance that occurs in the lower part of the upper-zone areas (representing the chest-waist area and the back). This writer may have suffered a slipped disk. If a person who usually writes in a relatively clear manner suddenly begins to write a blotchy, unclear hand, it is a danger signal of possible physical and/or mental illness. Two handwriting samples of German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche authenticated this point. Though Nietzsche’s first writing was clear, the pastose, unclear, blotchy writing of the second sample was written after his physical and mental collapse, in a state of depression. OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE TRENDS One characteristic of compulsive neurotics is that they feel an unreasonable need to repeat certain thoughts or acts, often of an apparently harmless and meaningless nature. In handwriting, too, compulsion neurosis betrays itself in such meaningless repetitions. When asked why she repeated the i-dots, the writer answered that she did not know why, but could not help repeating them. PERSECUTORY TRENDS This paranoiac betrayed himself through blurred spots his script. (They look like corrections that do not improve anything, or should I call them smoke screens?) These blurred spots may be interpreted as the visible traces of the writer’s temporary confusion or his unconscious attempt to obliterate his traces. For such blurred words, letters, syllables, figures seem to be produced during a passing loss of consciousness on the part of the writer. Graphologically, I would interpret the: …split letter as: indicating a break with tradition, customs, and the socially acceptable–a split in the writer’s intellectual world; …decayed script as: indicating the undermining of the writer’s image of the real world and the dissolution of his contact and communication with other people; …wavering lines as: indicating the writer’s confusion between conscious and unconscious, facts and hallucinations. Oversimplified and incomplete as these interpretations are, they may serve as an invitation to experimental psychiatrists to look into these problems from the standpoint of expressive gestures. As a graphologist, I am not prepared to discuss the complete dynamic and genetic bases for these expressive signs and symptoms. Examination for Lesson 16 1. Nietzsche’s writing was originally clear. It became pastose, unclear, blotchy. What is indicated? 2. Characteristic of compulsive neurotics is that they feel an unreasonable need to—-? 3. Constant writing “corrections” that do not correct is characteristic of which disorder? 4. Writing what kind of letter reflects a split in the writer’s intellectual world? Answers for Lesson 16 1. It is a danger signal of possible physical and/or mental illness. 2. Repeat certain thoughts or acts, often of an apparently harmless and meaningless nature. 3. Paranoia 4. viral marketing writing articles to unleash your virus

Friday, July 21st, 2006

Writing articles allows you to brand yourself as an expert on your topic. It also allows you to achieve high rankings in the search engines by using keywords related to your topic. You also build valuable backlinks, which gives your articles authority and increases your rankings. More importantly, it allows you to connect with your potential customer, those who are looking for what you have to sell. You also add value to your products and services. One way to do this, especially if you sell affiliate products, is to write product articles, which are reviews of a specific product. The key here with writing articles is ultimately syndication. Syndication leads to a wider readership. The more people who read your articles, the more traffic and sales you have the opportunity to get. Unfortunately, too many writers worry about the duplicate content penalty. The duplicate content penalty is misunderstood. The purpose of the duplicate content penalty isn’t to ban sites who are trying to publish good content, it is to eliminate sites that are recycling content solely for the purpose of making a sale. Instead of focusing on the duplicate content penalty, your focus needs to be on syndication. The more widely syndicated your articles, the more traffic and sales you get. News sites are a perfect example here. Columnists syndicate their columns to as many new sites and newspapers as they possibly can. New sites don’t get penalized for publishing this content. If anything, many of these sites, like AP and Townhall, rank well in the search engines. They get a lot of traffic because they build a following for their offerings. If you want to build a wide following for your writing, there are a couple things you need to do. First, start by writing and submitting articles to as many sites as possible. The easy way to do this is to use a submission service. These services generally prescreen the sites they send your articles to so you? don’t have to worry about your articles ending up on spam sites. Even if they do, you have no control over it unless you ask the site owner to remove your content. You want to be consistent in your article writing efforts. Try to write and submit at least one article per day, more if you have time to write them. The more articles you publish, the more chances you have to get read as well as syndicated. It’s the “Law of Averages.” Writing articles allows you to build a following of readers, subscribers, and ultimately customers. Your following will further help syndicate your writing and help you build a viral marketing campaign that will put your marketing on autopilot. Like these tips? rediscover a hidden past in ninetenth century yorkshire

“Batty Green” This is a novel set between 1869 and 1876. It takes place mainly in a remote area of the Yorkshire Dales, most of the action being at Ribblehead, where the Ribble Valley meets the road between Ingleton and Hawes. Here at this time a barren and sparsely populated area (Batty Green) became the focal point for a huge influx of labour to build a section of the Settle-Carlisle Railway. This was the last major engineering work in the country that was largely constructed with pick and shovel. Several thousand navvies worked on the railway line in the area, living in shanty towns that had something of the flavour of the Wild West. At the core of the novel is a story of the connections that develop between a small farming community and the nearby camp at Batty Green. Its main character is Emily Wright. She is a young farmer’s wife, married to an older man. She is childless and her restless spirit draws her more and more to the navvy camp, whose raw energy and lawlessness strikes a chord with her and offers her various opportunities, some of which are both dangerous and alluring. Taking advantage of the incursion of this diverse transient community, one that needs to be fed, the farm expands. They take in two lodgers and the novel weaves their stories into that of the railway workings and the life of the farm and relationships there. Robert Macintosh is a self-made man who began as an ordinary working navvy and is now a sub-contractor. He loses his contract and eventually is manager of the brick works at Batty Green. He has an affair with Emily later in the story. James Taylor is a young engineer on the line. He becomes involved with trying to protect another engineer from blackmail. In the process he helps two young women to escape from the camp and the story follows these young people to London. The railway line itself is central to the novel: especially the Ribblehead Viaduct, the Blea Moor tunnel and the navvy camps that sprang up around them, and then disappeared. Also featured throughout is the Yorkshire Dales landscape, in all weathers and conditions, especially Ingleborough Hill, Batty Green and Blea Moor. The novel can be ordered on line from Waterstones, W.H.Smiths, Borders, Amazon or from .januspublishing.co.uk This is how the novel opens: Spring 1869 One of her earliest memories was a small fragment. It was grey and grainy, emotionally charged with childish temperament, set in a wintry landscape. She was very little and was at the bottom of their long, narrow garden at Selside. The bare vegetable patch came to an unruly end in dry, hard earth and a straggle of gaunt gooseberries, choked with the bare spikes of thorns and brambles. She could not recall how she had got there, or what had made her upset, but she was tiny, unsteady and alone. She could still feel the rhythmic stamping of her little wooden clogs, the tears running down her face, her pinafore snapping in a shrill wind. She was whimpering and then shouting at the plants, the earth, even the silver birch that splintered its spidery branches against the drystone wall beyond her. She was telling them that it was not fair. They just had to listen. She would remember the scene throughout her life, hoarding it like a fragmented jewel, and she would refer to it, with a little embarrassment, as her first memory of “talking to the trees”. At moments of childhood unhappiness or adolescent rage, her explosions were always outdoors. Stepping out of sight of others, she would slowly suck in air as if she were drowning and then erupt, giving way to her emotions with total indulgence. Time after time she berated fields, lanes and byways, talking out her grief or her doubts, addressing whatever plant looked sympathetic or ready to argue. But, inevitably, with the onset of greater self-consciousness, this all stopped and was put behind her as a thing of the past. Then, early in 1869, when she was twenty-four and had been a married woman for six years, it began again, albeit in a modified form. Now though, it was mostly a silent tirade, a monologue of temper or of febrile excitement, projected outwards when she was sure she was quite alone. She would fix on an object, a tree, a stone or an unsuspecting cow and screech at it or sing out her feelings, silently and often with passionate intensity. She recognised this reversion as a disturbing barometer of need and dislocation. What is more, she knew very precisely the turning point within her marriage that brought about the change: it was the coming of the railway to the bleak uplands beyond their farm. It was when the Midland Railway finally brought steam engines and an army of navvies to remote Ribblehead and to a muddy, inauspicious basin, which became known as Batty Green. The turmoil that followed disturbed so much more than the resident grouse and sheep. .
