how to get 10 times the traffic from your articles

Monday, August 31st, 2009

There are two key components that get thousands of page views and tons of traffic from your articles. Articles using these little known tactics will increase page views and traffic by 10 fold versus those that neglect these techniques. The first key factor in generating traffic from your articles is the title. Most article writers will slap any old title on the article and send it off. This is a huge mistake, The title is the advertising for your article. In most article directories, only the title is shown to attract readers. Your title has to grab them by the ears and scream out, ‘READ ME!.’ To develop a title that attracts tons of traffic from your articles, do some research. Determine what people are searching for (related to your article). Then include those terms in your title. Of course, in a well crafted article, you should also use these terms several times within your article and add them to your listing of keywords. This will bring in readers from the article directory. But there is another way that readers might be attracted to your article and wind up as traffic to your website. That is through listings in search engines. On some articles that I have written, my article shows in 7 of the top ten positions on the first page of Google. This can bring you many times the traffic from your articles that you can get through the article directory alone. In most cases, search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN will include your article description below the title. To entice these readers, you need a great description. Your title is the bait that will cause them to nibble, but a good description will reel them in and land them in your boat (a fishing reference). In other words, the title will get the attention of the reader, and the article description will cause the reader to click on the link and read the article. A good description begins by asking a question, and then lets the reader know that they can find the answer by reading your article. Of course, your article has to answer the question, so make sure the question you ask is relevant. If you want to bring in more traffic from your articles, use these two key components watch your article traffic explode. Do you want to learn more about how to make money writing articles? This globalization has changed the way many freelance writers do business. In particular, it’s change the way many get paid. In the past, many freelance writers received the bulk of their business from referrals. Hence, there was no need to ask for, and/or expect payment up front. However, in a global economy, you could be taking a huge risk if you don’t at least ask for partial payment up front. Freelance Writers: How to Get Paid Before You Start a Project Many freelance writers feel funny about asking for partial payment up front. They tend to be very laid back about it because they’re more concerned about landing that next writing job. But, if you don’t take a firm stance with your billing and payment policies, you could be setting yourself up for failure. If the above is how you run your freelance writing business, it’s easy to change. How? Simply make getting a partial payment up front a “company policy”

5 key qualities to look for when hiring a professional writer so you dont make a costly mistake

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

Why You Should Become an Author By Michael J. Dowling If you are an entrepreneur, small business owner, consultant, coach, or business professional of any type, your success depends to a significant degree on how well you are known and respected in your field. One of the best ways to increase your visibility, credibility, and profitability is to become an author. “I tell virtually every self-employed professional, as well as many small-business owners, to define their niche specialty, write a book about it, and get it published,” says Robert W. Bly, who is regarded by many as “America’s Top Copywriter.” “Having your name on a book can be an immense boost for your business,” says Steven Van Yoder, author of Get Slightly Famous: Become a Celebrity in Your Field and Attract More Business with Less Effort. “A book provides you with more credibility than anything else you can do,” says self-publishing expert Dan Poynter, author of The Self-Publishing Manual. “The fact is, authors are highly valued in our society.” Books Are Terrific Sales Tools! Your book will work 24/7 to promote you and your organization. When you become an author, people see you as an expert in your field. New opportunities open up to you. Customers and clients come to you already predisposed to buy. Here’s what business coach and consultant Joan Walsh said about her self-publishing experience: “Michael, working with you on my book - Ready, Set, PLAN, Go! - has been the one of the best moves I’ve made at this stage in my career. The impact in terms of visibility and credibility has been huge. Now when I’m introduced to people, I’m not only a business coach and consultant, I’m also an author. “As a direct result of the book, my speaking engagements have increased almost 50 percent. Many of the organizations who invite me to speak buy my book and give it to the attendees. That, of course, brings in additional revenues and further promotes my services. “On several occasions, it’s opened doors to profitable new business. In fact, before the first copy of the book was in my hands, it had already brought in two new consulting contracts that more than paid for its cost.” The Additional Advantages of Becoming an Author The writing exercise forces you to organize and focus your message, which in turn will allow you to increase the effectiveness of your marketing literature and sales presentations. A book can also form the basis for a seminar or class you might want to teach, and it will give you the credibility you need to get hired. Associations and other organizations are often looking for speakers. Your credentials as an author will move you to the top of their list of sought-after presenters. And selling copies of your book at your speaking engagements will generate extra income and promote your services. What Should You Write About? Rule #1: Write about your passion, which ideally will align with your area of expertise. Rule #2: Think about your target audience. What are their needs? What questions do they typically have? What information would be most useful to them? Information that may seem elementary to you can be very helpful to others. Some fields - like law, insurance, finance, employee relations, and safety - have complex regulations that must be followed in order to avoid substantial penalties. Books about these subjects that are well-written and easily understood can be of great benefit to your readers. If you’re a business owner, consider writing a corporate history to celebrate a company anniversary or other important occasion. It’s a good way to talk about your values, promote your products and services, strengthen customer loyalty, foster employee pride, and enhance your image in your community. Of course, your book does not have to be about your business. If have an avocation that is interesting to people, consider writing a book that makes that subject come alive for your target audience. If you’re writing for a substantial audience, you might want to look for a publisher. If your book has a smaller potential audience in a niche market, take the self-publishing route. The self-publishing industry has made tremendous strides in recent years. Printing 500 or 1000 books is not expensive. And print-on-demand (POD) services allow you to print books one-at-a-time at rather reasonable costs. Articles and White Papers To get even more mileage out of your book, use it as the basis for one or more articles or white papers. Magazines and e-zines are looking for worthwhile material to publish, especially for niche markets. “Writing and posting informative online articles to your website as well as submitting them to others is one of the best methods for increasing your website’s traffic quickly and dramatically,” says Jay Conrad Levinson, author of Guerrilla Marketing on the Internet. It’s Easier Than You Might Think Writing a book is not difficult with the assistance of a good professional writer/editor. But before you start writing, I suggest you visit the Resources page of my website (.MichaelJDowling.com) and download the following two free white papers: ” 5 Key Qualities to Look For When Hiring a Professional Writer (So You Don’t Make a Costly Mistake!) ” 11 Questions You Need to Answer Before You Attempt to Become an Author Michael J Dowling (.MichaelJDowling.com) is a writer, editor, and ghostwriter who produces clear, concise, creative, and convincing books, articles, and other print communications to increase the visibility, credibility, and profitability of individuals and organizations. By Michael J. Dowling When you hire a freelance writer or editor, an element of risk is involved. If you hire wisely, you’ll accomplish your goals and save valuable time. But if you choose the wrong writer, you could end up missing deadlines, falling short of your goals, and damaging your credibility. How can you avoid a costly mistake? What qualities should you look for when hiring a writer? I believe that outstanding professional writers are characterized by the five key qualities listed below. When you know what to look for, you’ll make better hiring decisions. The Five Key Qualities to Look For ” Quality #1 - Proficiency Whenever you put something in writing, your image is on the line. A proficient writer will enhance your reputation. A mediocre writer can hurt your image and undermine your efforts to achieve your goals. While searching the Web recently for information about colleges for my son, I came across the following sentence on a university’s website: “Our walking campus tour does not include a residence hall, however the Department of University Housing is proud to offer a special tour of one of our newest residential complex, Eagle Village.” Did you spot the two grammatical errors in this sentence? First, this is what English teachers disdainfully call a “run-on sentence.” The word however is an adverb, not a conjunction. It should be replaced by the conjunction but. Alternatively, one could place a semicolon or a period after the word hall and a comma after the word however. The second grammatical error is that the word complex should be plural. After reading this website, I am less inclined to send my son to this university. Poor writing is worse than no writing at all. Review writing samples so you can be sure you’re investing in a writer who is proficient at his craft. ” Quality #2 - Efficiency You are successful because you are talented at what you do. A competent professional writer will free up your time so you can concentrate on what you do best. An inexperienced, disorganized writer will suck up your time and energy and distract you from your more important priorities. Writing projects are often complex, with tight time constraints. A missed deadline can be very costly…and embarrassing. Choose a writer who routinely finishes assignments on or ahead of schedule. Your time is valuable. Hire an experienced professional who will save you time by managing your projects efficiently. ” Quality #3 - Creativity Lots of writers do a fair job of putting pen to paper, but far fewer bring a strong creative element into the writing process. A creative writer will make your communication piece stand out from the pack. People will be more likely to read it and remember it. For example, when writing about a dramatic management turnaround at a hospital, I increased the impact of the book by structuring it as if the hospital were a patient. The book’s title - Healing A Hospital - and the chapter titles - “Alarming Symptoms,” A Sober Diagnosis,” “Intensive Care,” “Fiscal Therapy,” “A Rapid Recovery” - carried out the hospital-as-patient theme. Creativity increases impact. Look for a creative writer, not just a wordsmith. ” Quality #4 - Productivity The most productive writer is not the one who charges the lowest fees, but the one who produces the greatest return on investment. I’m always encouraged when my clients give me feedback like the following: “Michael, working with you on my book has been the one of the best moves I’ve made at this stage in my career. Before the first copy was in my hands, it had already brought in two new consulting contracts that more than paid for its cost.” (From a business consultant and coach) “The book you helped us write is a terrific marketing tool. This week alone two new donors called because they had read it. One wants to give $8 million to Christian charities!” (From a national charitable organization) A well-written book works hour after hour, day after day, year after year to increase your visibility, credibility, profitability. When evaluating writers, consider the benefits you expect to receive as well as the costs you expect to incur. Don’t simply try to minimize fees; aim to maximize your return on investment. Focus on value, not price. ” Quality #5 - Reliability Look for a professional writer you can rely on to deliver top-quality communication products that are on target, on time, and on budget. When your deadlines are at stake and your image in on the line, reliability is critical. You can count on a reliable writer to write precisely, edit diligently, communicate honestly, relate cooperatively, respond promptly, and serve cheerfully. He makes it his goal to accomplish your goals. A writer who thinks conceptually and gives you honest feedback based on his knowledge and experience adds tremendous value to your project. The results you achieve together will far exceed anything you could have accomplished alone. Before you hire a writer, be sure to check references. Hire a reliable writer who will meet your deadlines and surpass your expectations. the key a fairytale goodbye my son chapter 11 part 1

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Conqueror limped stiffly but was always eager to begin a new journey, loving the spontaneity of adventure as much as I did. Occasional wafts of warm air greeted us as we made our way down the mountain persuading me to take off my fur wrap and tie it to the horse. I wasn’t sure where we were headed except to follow the holy man’s map, but I did know that there were two hints regarding a cave; one by Sahmad and one by the holy man’s sketch, and since caves were cold and damp, the coat could come in handy someday. I had a strange feeling about this cave. We continued our descent without incident, just a few storm clouds in the distance. It began harmlessly enough, barely a trickle. This is how things always began with me - innocently - but then the vast heavens opened their floodgates, unleashing angry, broiling clouds and storms that drove across menacing, slate-gray skies. The storm forced us to stop and take shelter in the higher foothills where below us were the sprawling delta and enormous flood plains of the mountain, taunting us, reminding us that they must be crossed. But at least we were safe for now; the torrential rains hampered the pursuit of my enemies. The storm in its compassion protected this king and his wounded charger, at least for now. My gaze fell across the land that was my home. The immensity of the drama unfolding before me was breathtaking, painting its magnificence across the endless landscape. Tigers, elephants, every kind of animal was confused, fleeing, eyes wildly searching the sweltering jungle for higher ground and refuge. And I was running as well, but mere water was not my enemy. We could see the delta below, the anilmals trying to flee the water as they ran together toward safety, and as I watched this drama unfold, I experienced a powerful insight - that every creature treasures life, just as I do - and suddenly the key seeker’s rule of not killing a living being was no longer abstract. This flash of insight was so powerful that it permanently dyed my mind with an indelible resolve, a new way of looking at life, a new character that would remain constant no matter how many lifetimes I would have to endure. I knew that my basic tendencies were changing when I couldn’t kill the soldiers in the courtyard, and now this understanding became intuitive and permanent, as it dropped from my head down into my heart. Permanent changes in my consciousness only took place when I could see,’ and until that seeing’ took place, which could only happen in each, incredible moment, I would merely be thoughts and opinions that change like the wind. This refusal to kill would have seemed ludicrous to me at one time, but after this direct communication, an emanation from the Source, I knew that I was finished with killing forever. I still had the teeth, nails, and hair of a beast, but I was no longer a beast in my heart. I was a human being with the responsibility and capacity to understand at a much deeper level. What would the next lifetime hold for a killer and his confused motives, and conversely, what would it hold for one who understood and sacrificed his life while offering forgiveness? The contact with the key seekers on the mountain, my experience with the holy man, and my deepening inner work had an incredible impact on this phase of my spiritual life. It opened up an expanded observation of life from a strange and wonderful perspective. It seemed that in some strange way, the appetites of my physical senses were falling away while my spiritual facilities were flowering, which created a radical difference in the way I experienced things. I now circled around life again, but this time at a refined level and viewpoint. My false center or “self,” this fabricated individuality was also gradually fading, and although this idea of a personality still clung to me like an odor, it was weakening. Long ago I gave up the idea of religious rituals and beliefs being the answer, for I could see where they created and sustained a self’ rather than dismantling it. I knew that only through the actions of this fabricated self’ was kamma made, and only through insight would kamma and the false self be resolved. When the being removed its hood at the temple, I saw the true face of my doubts as well, and relinquished them immediately. Realizing that my personality would not continue after death, then seeing the futility and foolhardiness of relying on religious beliefs to find the key instead of my own efforts, and finally overcoming doubt - these three achievements positioned me on the threshold of ‘Stream Entrance’ where I would suffer in a material body no more than seven more lifetimes. The sorcerer once said, “Your heart will break for those who will not listen, for there is nothing you can do to help them, all you will be able to do is silently understand the never-ending suffering they will be destined to endure in their future lifetimes.” I could now see this and I felt great compassion for those who were unresponsive or perhaps unconscious to higher thought, the ones who are unable to understand how much more there is too life other than what their perceived prisons reveal. blue print to article writing success

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Intro: I’ve obtained a measure of success from article writing, not I add through the normal methods employed by many article authors who endeavor to coerce viewers to their site by making false or exaggerated claims. No my techniques involve using the truth in combination with several processes that I call ‘Golden Rules.’ Generally I use these to create articles that promote a clients web based product or service, however the Golden Rules can equally be applied to any type of web-page content. The system is based upon three basic elements all of which are key to the content and usually result in significant increases in page views and the subsequent click through to my clients site. Using Articles to Promote your Business: If you’re already producing articles its probably as a free marketing alternative to promote your product or service, which is fine, however if you check most article stats on any directory you’ll find that views are relatively low and click throughs even lower, which really makes the entire process of creating articles rather pointless given the amount of hard work that goes into creating one. The problem is you’re not alone, there are literally thousands of authors creating content to market their business therefore to get ahead of this veritable horde of authors you must have an edge on them, OK your article may be unique but how do you make it possible for your article to receive a greater share of page views? I have entitled this article ‘Blue Print to Article writing Success’ however the principles listed below also apply to web-pages too so to give yourself another edge on the competition apply the formula to all of your web-pages as it is just as effective with them. Alternatives: If your writing articles you’ve most probably already explored the other alternatives towards marketing you product or service, you’ve set up a lovely looking web-site which is all singing all dancing with e-commerce build in to accept payments for your unique line. The problem is as you’ve probably also discovered it’s difficult to get a regular stream of visitors to your site before they can even view your unique product. The reality of Internet business is that it takes years to become a success even once you’ve tried the many alternatives! So where do you go from here? Ah yes article writing. Yes that’s it use someone else popularity as a means to get visitors to your site. But even then it is difficult to get the views you require if you are not using the correct authoring and marketing techniques you don’t stand a chance! To get on in article creation and web-pages in general you must format them to a given formula so that you can at least improve your edge on the competition. Three Golden Rules. Golden Rule 1, The Golden carrot ‘Content is King’: Do you run a web site, then you’ll know that search engine marketing is crucial to your success, but of course first you must either get your product or web-site listed on the search engines. But then of course even with both of these elements in place the chances of gaining views through the search engines for a new product or even an established one is virtually zero if your trying through your own new site. There are however web-sites set up which already have an established relationships with search engines and use this relationship to promote your web-site or product for you. Out of the many marketing techniques one of the best and easiest methods to achieve a prominent web presence is article writing. The problem is that to achieve this goal your article must be well written, be full of relevant quality content as well as being interesting and unless your article all of these points you may as well not have written it in the first place. There are many other key factors to be considered when marketing a new article and search engines, which absolutely love quality content articles are key but remember the primary means of finding your article is through its title and many people will link to or read articles which are full of good content, but obviously they must find the article in the first place so it is key to choose a title that will draw attention to your article and yours alone in the first place. Articles full of quality content can be an almost endless source of targeted traffic for years to come so if you’ve not been listening ‘CONTENT IS KEY,’ you can’t just ramble on about yourself, thats not what people want to read about, they want to learn something from what you’ve written! Do this right and it will give an enormous positive effect to your site forever more. However and I’m sorry to burst your bubble here, there is still more to this. There are a lot of people writing content article however the secret to success is writing ‘quality’ content articles and you’ll need to do this if you want your material to rise above the mass of dross that litters most article directories and believe me there are literally millions of dross article written every day! I for one suffer from this and running two directories I see a lot. They are rubbish because the majority are pure spam, I’d estimate that around 75% of submissions come under this category, and sad as it seems many article directories quite literally delete 75% of the submissions every single day. It still surprises me that authors continue to post spam over and over seeming to go for the quick spam writing option over the time consuming method of writing something good that gets results. That said before deciding to write this article I have featured most of its content on my sites home pages and still the flood of spam continues! I guess authors are not reading too much, try not to forget that to remain on top you must also research your market to stay ahead. Anyway I’ve gone off subject a little here and I’m sorry for bringing my moans into the article, but I needed to get across that the majority are spam and to give yourself an edge over the 75% all you need is to write something good or atleast an article that doesn’t appear to be spam! I’m sorry to inform you but writing a quality content article will take you a bit longer than ten minutes or even half an hour. A quality article may take anything up to a week or a month in some cases to write and if your dedicated you’ll need to make many edits before it is perfect. Try not to forget that you’re wanting to produce something original if you cut corners and copy other peoples work, the search engines will index this as duplicate content and your article will end up at the bottom of a very large hole. You need to produce something totally original! ‘originality’ in my opinion is the one factor that will get you where you want to be but remember the others rules are just as important and must always be included in every article you write. So to recap your article will need to: Be original. Be packed full on content. Be void of any spam. Have a search engine friendly title (that will attract targeted traffic). A really basic factor, which a few writers ignore, is GRAMA! You can’t realistically expect people to read or circulate your article if it is poorly written, full of mistakes, lacking any content and largely overlooking the need to provide any new or useful information to a reader. You will need to write your article so that it imparts some kind of information in an interesting and informative way, yet leaves the reader still wanting for a little bit more information……… ……..and that is precisely where your link will be placed! SENDING VISITORS direct to your web site and that is the key! The end results is that you get high quality, targeted traffic that will find their way directly to your web site. These type of visitors….the type that read through your article and then click on your link are a much more targeted audience and have a much higher probability of making a purchase and becoming your valued customer than just about any other type of traffic that you could hope to buy or find on the Internet! This method is the one that I have used for many years with great success and it works well in both the short and long term. A well written, interesting and informative article can also get you thousands of really great web links pointing directly to your site! High Quality articles following established marketing techniques can provide web site links and targeted traffic to your website for an almost indefinite time to come. You see, and please excuse me for I have done exactly that with this article. If you have read this article you will see that I have imparted the truth throughout and I have given you facts which you are probably already aware of. You see I am using the words as bait leading you toward my goal which is not imparting of some secret knowledge but one that slowly luring you toward my clients or your web site. Golden Rule 2: Choosing Your Words This element whilst second on the list is equally important to your success however I will point out again that all three elements must be used with equal respect for this system to work, remembering from above that content is king from both the readers and search engines point of view. It’s all in the title - Choosing your words! Let me begin by explaining how a search engine works (In basic lingo). Every time you use a search engine you are typing in a keyword or a keyword string. From this string the search engine finds information or web pages which fit this string from lists which it has indexed in its enormous web-based library. In this library there may be millions of web-sites which use this string of keywords however each web-site is graded on factors relating to page rank (PR) and popularity graded by links to your site, therefore the more important the page is the higher up the list the string will be. One important factor is keywords which the search engine uses to analyze the given web page so as to ascertain whether the sites true intention is to impart information regarding this string and that it is relevant to this content. For example site B may have its keyword set as ‘Dog Food’ but the information contained within the body of the information may only contain information regarding ‘leather shoes’ (first thing that came to mind!). Based on this analogy the search engine would discard the keyword ‘Dog Food’ as irrelevant and categorize the information within another category dependent upon the pages keyword density, which could mean the words ‘leather shoes’ would be used. However site A uses the keyword string correctly and therefore its page is categorized within the desired library and is much more likely to succeed than by trying to deceive the search engine and of course the traffic would be there to view this content. Now we’re actually getting close to nut of this rule. The second element is keyword density! It is actually essential to any page whether its an article or a page on a web-site that keyword density is used effectively and as I have proved time and time again on my own web sites & articles, it works! Keyword density: There are four basic factors to consider when looking at keyword density. a. Meta Keywords. b. Meat Title. c. Meta Description. d. Body Text. a. Meta keywords. Most article directories have a small section at the bottom of the article composition page which can be used to enter your articles keywords. So continuing with the dog food analogy we’ll use dog food as our primary keyword string. Please ensure you complete this section every time you submit an article it’s crucial, missing it will eradicate any benefits to density factors. b. Meta Title. To begin to convince the search engine that your article is indeed dog food related your title must contain at best six or seven words of which dog food must be used within the first three words. Please carry out a test on the search ‘Dog Food.’ This will yield results which show that the term dog food is highlighted within the first three words (Leave the search page open we’ll return to it again later). It is also important to add extra words to the title as there is a fine balance between irrelevant content and keyword stuffing, entitling you article ‘Dog Food’ would give this meta a density of 100%. So ‘Dog Food’ as a title is not advised. When you’ve finished your article run a density analysis and incorporate the second most popular string into the title. This might be ‘Balanced Dog Food For Your Pets Health’ where ‘Pets Health’ has the second largest density. You see the above title is also telling any possible readers exactly what your article is about. Remember when considering search engines always consider them as readers and you won’t go far wrong, they really are that advanced. c. Meta description. Again most if not all article directories have a summary section and whilst this summary is used to describe your article to those visiting the site the summary also acts as the meta description. Make sure that the description contains around thirty word and uses your primary keyword string within the first five words and that your secondary string is also in there too. If you return to the search results again you’ll also notice that any of the summaries are fragmented, giving incomplete information and not actually telling you much that may encourage you to click the links! This is because the meta description tag has not been used and the search engine has made one itself from the information on that page. If you now open another search, but leaving the Dog Food search open and copy and paste the following into the search bar: site:articleheaven.co.uk You will now be presented with a totally different set of results, you see how the description are complete giving you or any other reader a realistic summary of what the page is about. It is important to remember that when you yourself type in a search when using a search engine that the results display these two meta’s (title & summary). d. Body Text. Now to the crux of the matter and probably the hardest part for an author to optimize because as I’ve said above ‘content is king,’ there’s your poor author slaved away writing a good quality article only having to change the odd word to optimize it for the search engines. Wrong…….In my experience the best optimized articles are the ones that are not optimized at all, but unfortunately this is usually without the authors knowledge! My advise herein is to write the article following the ‘content is king’ rule but adhering to the Golden Rules then check your body text density, when you’ve finished use one of the many Keyword Density Tool available throughout the net. The golden rule with keyword density is stick to around 3% or check with a good seo site that has more upto date information of the subject. Keyword stuffing: My directories have quite a few articles of this type submitted and after many years of fierce discussion on the subject which has now been established to be an obstacle in successful optimization even to the point of search engines penalizing sites that allow stuffed content. Keyword stuffing doesn’t work and generally if you submit an article that is stuffed to any directories the end result will usually mean deletion and eventual banning. Keyword stuffing is using the same phrase over and over, e.g.: Dog food is the best pet food for dogs and give dog food to dogs for there food! I know it’s ridiculous but honestly I’ve seen articles written just like that. You’ve probably read an article that is stuffed but maybe not noticed but you would have subconsciously felt that something was wrong with it, more probably the content would not have made much sense and you would have moved to another page. Which is the point of this article you need to keep visitors reading until they either click a link or purchase a service. Golden Rule 3, Social Book Marking ‘Promoting Your Article’: As an author you are in an ideal position regarding the marketing of your material from the standpoint that there is such a vast selection of article directories to choose from. By this I mean that you can use social book marking to your own benefit whilst seeming to separate yourself from the book marking sites spamming policies. For example if you were to book mark every article you produced from one particular web-site eventually the book-marking site would ban you as they would deem (correctly!) that you were using them to promote yourself alone. However to beat this, simply bookmark a different article from a different article directory and only doing so sparingly say ten article in a week from a different location. From this you will be guaranteed a stream of traffic to your article and therefore increase your chances of obtaining click through. OnlyWire offer a service whereby you can submit multiple bookmarks in one hit, 25 to be precise. The service whilst rather tedious to begin with because you have to set up 25 accounts becomes invaluable in the long run as it takes only two minutes at most to book mark a single article to all of the sites. Close: In August 2007 (before I created this article) I took an article at random from a batch of those recently submitted which did not follow any of the Golden Rules and created a second identical one albeit following the Golden Rules. The result gave the article a first page result with Google and it subsequently became one of the most popular articles at this site. The success of that trial and the subsequent research that sprung from it inspired me to write this article. unlock your imagination passion wants and needs

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Let me begin by asking three questions: 1.What is your Passion? 2.What do you Want? 3.What Needs to be done? What you do Want, does not necessarily translate into Passion. What you Need to do and what you Want to do, often conflict. So, you must make a choice of writing about what you are Passionate about, or writing what you Know, better than anyone else. It is a good idea to first research and find out if anyone of these fill a Niche or Need. Once this is identified, your choice of writing will be clear. It all comes down to Passion, Wants and Needs. If you are extremely lucky, you will find a balance between them all, and writing will be a breeze. Unfortunately, this is usually not the case with most writer’s. We all suffer from the same problems. We all search for better answers. When we find a few of these precious writing gems, we tend to guard them jealously. Instead, in the spirit of co-operation, I would like to see a compendium of techniques that we can all benefit from. In this way, we may all see more excellent writing emerge from obscurity. If we do not become more open and trusting of our new, young Writer’s that are up-and-coming today, then we doom our readers to the same old stories told over and over in different ways, until it all becomes a mediocrity of words. It is all fine and well to guard our secrets when we are selling stories, but when we retire, quit writing or heaven forbid, are almost at the Pearly Gates, why for the love of all creatures great and small, would you ever want to take it with you? Let Your writing secrets go, so that they may be free. So that they may be consumed and digested by the New Blood of todays’ excellent young writer’s! The more we contribute, the more we can halt the inbreeding of writing, which only gives us the same old bland stories. We need Difference, we need Pepper, we need Spice! Then and only then, will we begin to witness the rebirth of new and interesting variations and ultimately, Originality, in the future of our new , young writer’s. Unlock Your Imagination ©Lee E. little known ways to successful copywriting

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

Copywriting is one of the most essential elements of effective online marketing. It involves the promotion of various persons, products, services, ideas or opinions, by the use of strategically written words. The ultimate intention of copywriting is to ultimately persuade the reader to take some form of action. In order to make readers act the way you want the copywriting should be such that it immediately grabs the attention of the reader. The articles should be compelling enough to connect with the people. Whether one wants to sell some products or wants to create traffic on his website by placing other links, he/she has to know the tricks to successful copywriting. Copywriting tutorials are available online as a guide to upcoming copywriters. These copywriting tutorials are designed to give basic knowledge on the art of copywriting in easy to learn lessons. Moreover, they provide references to copywriting books and other links to tutorials on SEO (search engine optimization) copywriting. They also provide links to learning how to write “killer” headlines. Hot copywriters of today have evolved various courses on copywriting to help budding copywriters track their way towards a successful career. Today, copywriters are very highly paid. But in order to be effective and proficient in copywriting one must work diligently and with utmost dedication. Copywriting for search engines or SEO copywriting as it is commonly referred to, is the art of writing web page copy in a way that is appealing to the readers. The copywriting should be such that it not only draws the attention of the readers but also ranks high in the use of certain key phrases that readers are looking for in the search engines. The most important skill to be mastered in copywriting is the art of writing attractive headlines. Most readers just make decisions on the efficiency of a web page merely by a quick scan through the page. If the headline is good enough the reader might read further, otherwise he might just move on to another web page. Thus the copywriter must use his copywriting skills and craft an excellent headline. On an average, 80% of the people read only the headlines, and only around 20% read the remaining page. This is why the headline highly determines the effectiveness of the entire page. Copywriters should make their work interesting. The readers will not stick around unless they find the work interesting. Surprise the readers and make them laugh. Humour is the best way to wake up people while reading a dull boring piece of work. Copywriting keeping the above in mind can pave your way to successful careers in the same. Being creative and interesting is the key and the six figure salary won’t be far.
