adding richness to the stories you are writing
May 16th, 1999Author: adminWhen you are increasing your writing skill you can start with a paragraph you might have written about a topic you enjoy and add information from your point of view. Then add the point of view of others. Many will be glad to give you their information and you can use out of that what would apply to what you are communicating to others at this writing. It can be fun to write using this sentence as a starter: If I could add a different perspective, what do I think that would be for this story. See if you could use one of the other opinions to enrich your storyline and increase the effectiveness of this point of view.Writing is about communicating with others so regardless if what you have written is your point of view specifically someone will enjoy what you wrote. That is what debating is all about. Presenting a different point of view than your own.Allowing yourself to present these different perspectives will immediately increase your flexibility with your writing. Remember you are sharing with others from around the world and in their culture they may never have been introduced to a different approach or point of view about this topic.Your ability to communicate the topic in a believable manner is your objective not whether they agree with you or not. Keeping that in mind will really allow you to be objective and write totally as if you were in agreement with the subject (remember the rules of debate: the presentation includes the facts to support the topic you are presenting) This is just a great way to begin to increase your writing skill and notice when you can remain objective and when you are not able to do so. This information alone will be valuable to you in developing your writing ability.
